I'm a winter-lover but most folks around here are excited about the daffodils and tulips blooming, and the leaves on the trees, and the grass greening up. And, of course, the start of the tourist season. Our town's population explodes in the summer with the vacationers and seasonal people coming up from downstate (and other states), and already we're starting to see an increase in traffic and people in the local businesses on weekends. Nobody knows how much of an impact the higher gas prices will make this year, I guess that remains to be seen...

And speaking of higher prices...unless you live in a cave, you probably already know about the incredible price increases in shipping costs and grains, especially (although everything I use has increased). I haven't had price increases in several years. I believe so strongly in what I'm doing and why I'm doing it that I have continued to hold prices down even though it means I have been working, literally, without a paycheck for the last few months. In an ideal world I could continue...but the truth is I have bills to pay like everyone else. It's with heartfelt sadness that I will have to raise my prices next month (June). I'm just giving a heads up so that you can take advantage of the current pricing structive before that time, if you so desire. Boy oh boy if I could do this for your birds for free forever, I'd do it, especially with the great feedback I receive all the time!

Whether you purchase from one of our shops or one of our vendors, I'd love to hear about it! And if you have pictures, that's all the better!
