"First of all, I know I told you how sick Snowball had been. I had originally bought it to try for her. She was barely eating as it was. She absolutely loved it. In fact, once she had passed on, my daughters and I all agreed that the Itty Bitty Bird Bites extended her life, and more importantly improved her quality of life. She had never chirped, or had much energy. I started by giving her a choice of 4 foods, a bowl of seed, bowl of pellets, and a bowl of Itty Bitty Bird Bites, and millet. Well, once she discovered the IBBB's that was all she ate in the beginning. But, we noticed a difference in her behavior and energy level. She began eating equal amounts of seed, millet, pellets, and even birdie bread. She started to chirp early in the mornings, and in the evenings. Something she had never done. It was a loud chirp, that would make us all stop and look at one another, mouths drop to the floor, and make a B-line to her cage to watch! She would actually show off with a flap of the wings for us as well. She even enjoyed being held more. Before she never seemed to truly enjoy that.
"She never had done any of these things before IBBB's. We really feel in our hearts that the nutritional boost this supplement gave her not only extended her life a bit, but, more importantly the nutritional support, it improved her quality of life. She had the energy to do some normal budgie things, her appetite improved and she ate more than she had ever ate the entire time she was with us.
"She left us the day after Thanksgiving. We were all sad, but, we knew in our hearts that this was going to come some day. Snowball had held on for so long, endless trips to the vets, endless bottles of antibiotics. When we found her, there were not many tears, we were so grateful that her quality of life was so good at the end. The happiness of that out weighed the sadness.
"It's amazing how it can all start with just one bird. Amazing how just one little bird can change your outlook on life. Snowball taught my children kindness of the heart. They've learned not to treat people differently because they're different, or not well. To be nice and caring to everyone, to be helpful, to volunteer to be helpers, that everyone and everything is worthy of kindness, and that kindness is a gift to share, not something to expect. What a great time of the year to learn such a lesson. I guess that was Snowball's mission here with us, her gift to us this holiday season.
"I just wanted to share and let you know, and to thank you."
And that, my friends, is what it is all about.
